Free spins are played at the same coin value and same number of paylines as the triggering spin.

Rules

Misuse or malfunction voids all pays and plays.

All line win symbols must appear on a played line and on consecutive reels, beginning with the far-left reel.

Only the highest winner is paid on each payline. Line wins are multiplied by the coin value on the winning line. Coinciding line wins on different paylines are added.

Only the highest scatter win is paid. Scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet.

When one or more cleopatra wild symbols substitute in a win, that win is doubled.

Scatter and bonus wins are independent from payline wins and are also added to the total amount paid.

The diamond spins bonus is played on independent reels. All awards are scattered. No paylines are used.

Maxi bonus, mini bonus, and bet multipliers awards are multiplied by the total bet. More than one maxi bonus or mini bonus can be won during the same diamond spins bonus.

Grand, major, and minor progressives can only be won once during the diamond spins bonus. However, more than one progressive can be won during the same diamond spins bonus. With all accumulated wins awarded to the player.

Grand, major, and minor progressives are shared progressives. The growth is funded by a fixed percentage of each bet placed by all players.

The likelihood of winning the grand progressive, major progressive, minor progressive, or bonus awards is not equal.

The odds of winning the grand progressive, major progressive, and minor progressive are proportional to the amount wagered.

For example, a player playing at a 0.20 coin value has twice the chance of winning the grand progressive as a player playing at a 0.10 coin value in the same currency. The expected return to player is the same for both players. Therefore, the game is completely fair, offering the same odds per amount per bet currency.

The amounts paid for the grand, major, and minor progressives are approximately the amount seen on the progressive meters when the win occurs. Potentially, the awarded progressive could be somewhat higher because of display delays. In an exceptionally rare case, two players may simultaneously win the same progressive. The order of winners is determined solely by the timestamp applied to each transaction request as it is received by our servers. The official winning outcome belongs to the player whose transaction timestamp is first. The player whose timestamp is second will win the progressive re-seed amount if their winning outcome occurred just after the other player’s win, but before the meter was able to reset.

Wins are shown in currency.

In some jurisdictions, regardless of bet size, there is an award cap on any single transaction, excluding the grand, major, and minor progressives. See the paytable for details. A transaction includes the results of the bonus, plus the outcome which launched the bonus. If the award cap is reached in the bonus, the bonus ends immediately, even if there are remaining free spins.

Additional information

Lost connection during jackpot win

In the unlikely event of a lost connection or game reset during a jackpot-triggering spin, the jackpot will be awarded. Notification of the jackpot win will not appear on the screen when the game is reloaded, and the win will not be reflected in your account balance. Any standard wins will be reflected in your account balance. Continued play, whether in this game or any other, does not affect the jackpot payout.

In accordance with fair gaming practices required in most legal jurisdictions worldwide, each and every game outcome is completely independent, except in cases where one spin unlocks a feature for a subsequent spin or series of spins, per the game rules. The odds of getting any particular outcome are always the same.

The odds do not vary based on prior outcomes, bet size (except the progressives), balance size, time of day, day of week, etc. For example, if the top award is won on a given spin of the game, the chances of winning the top award on the next spin are exactly the same. Likewise, prior losses do not change future odds.

The expected payback reflects the theoretical return across a very large number of spins by numerous players over an extended period of time. The results for any given player over a play session can vary widely from this long-term, expected average in either direction. The fewer the number of games played, the wider the normal variance of actual payback that may be experienced.

    Types of casino games

There is no generally accepted classification of casino games. Different gambling establishments, gambling experts, authors of thematic books and specialized publications offer their ways of cataloging.

In general, games for money can be divided into the following main categories:

    • Slot machines - video slots, classic machines and models at the junction of genres;

    • Cards - all kinds of casino games with the use of playing cards;

    • Board - games with tables and additional equipment;

    • Video poker - a separate genre, which includes a special kind of poker on individual machines;

    • Scratch cards - all sorts of instant lotteries;

    • The arcade and entertainment - is a unique development of the software vendors that offer original gameplay and unusual rules;

    • Others - this includes keno, bingo, betting simulators, regional games and other gambling activities that do not belong to the above groups.

The rules section at casinoz takes a more adaptive approach to classification. We took into account not only the genre but also the games prevalence, a variety of models at online casinos and popularity among customers.

Let's consider the features of the rules of casino games in the basic categories.

    Roulette rules

Roulette is one of the most famous and popular gambling entertainment.

The goal of the roulette game is to guess in which number or group of numbers the ball will stop.

Roulette offers different types of bets that can be combined at the discretion of the client.

    There are three main versions:

The first two differ in the design of the table, the variety of bets and the presence of additional rules in the french version.

American roulette offers a particular order of numbers on the track and the presence of double zero. Some models also have special features.

Mini roulette is less popular, as long as a boule and roulette without zero.

Casinos also have unique varieties, including games with multiple tables, reels and balls, all sorts of pictures instead of numbers, accumulative jackpots, bonuses, and other unusual features.

All the main types of roulette by well-known manufacturers and popular models are considered in a special section at casinoz.

    Rules of slot machines

By slots, we mean gambling with rotating reels, which depict diverse images. These symbols form a winning combination, trigger a variety of bonuses and can be used in other functions.

The goal of playing casino slots is to get one or more payouts based on the spin results.

Video slots can be divided into two key groups:

    1. Classic machines - traditional models with three reels, one to five lines and a limited set of additional features.

    2. Multifunctional video slots - the ones with five or more reels, several types of symbols, free spins and other bonuses.

Often slots have such gaming options:

    • Basic icons – standard icons, included in the winning combinations by the general rules.

    • Wild symbols - are jokers that can replace other symbols in chains and often have additional features.

    • Scatter symbols are pictures that are paid regardless of the active lines and usually trigger free spins.

Developers can use different combinations of the above features in video slots and gaming machines. The reviews of casino machines at the casinoz portal describes in detail all the gameplay options. They will help you to understand the intricacies of the rules of slot machines.

    Blackjack rules

Blackjack is the most popular intellectual game of chance. Most professional players prefer blackjack in offline casinos. There they can not only play by basic strategy, but also count cards and use other techniques useless in online casinos.

The goal of blackjack is to beat the dealer by getting more points than him without exceeding 21. You can also win by busting the dealer.

There are two basic versions of blackjack:

    1. In the american one, the dealer immediately gives himself two cards, opens one of them and can check the blackjack.

    2. In the european version, the dealer initially gives himself one card, and the rest dealing after the players.

Both varieties have numerous subtypes. Blackjack rules are very flexible. Casino operators can adjust them at their discretion, offering customers different sets of options.

Choosing the most profitable type of blackjack, experienced players pay attention to the list of available functions:

    • Split - split cards of the same rank into two boxes;

    • Double - double bet;

    • Surrender – the refusal to continue the game for the half bet;

    • Insurance - the ability to insure against blackjack at the dealer;

    • Equal money - consent to the payment of 1:1 blackjack at the ACE of the dealer.

Also, professional blackjack players take into account the rules of the dealer's card set, the features of splits and doubles, the presence of bonus payments and other features. Each of these points affects the mathematical superiority of the casino and requires changes in the basic strategy.

The best varieties of blackjack even allow you to gain an advantage over the institution.

    Video poker rules

Video poker is a poker machine with many varieties.

The purpose of playing video poker is to collect a paid combination from those listed in the table. Usually you can change up to five cards for free at once.

Casinos offer all kinds of variations of video poker. The most popular are jacks or better, deuces wild, all american, bonus poker and some others.

They differ by a set of poker combinations, the presence of jokers, the amount of payments, the number of supported hands and additional features. At the same time, they have the same basic rules of video poker.

The gameplay in most models consists of the following stages:

    • The client makes a bet and receives five cards.

    • He discards unnecessary cards and gets new ones instead.

    • If a combination is formed, the player is automatically charged.

    • The user can take the money or start the game for doubling.

    • If he wants to take a chance, he will need to choose a random card and compare it with the dealer's card.

These are the basic rules of video poker. Other nuances relate to certain varieties of the game. They are discussed in thematic articles at casinoz.

    Casino poker rules

Unlike video poker, desktop poker versions can differ dramatically. Some of them are similar only in that they use playing cards and the presence of standard poker combinations.

The goal of the baccarat game is to guess who will win the hand: a banker or a dealer. You can also bet on a draw.

In most modern varieties of baccarat, the player does not have to draw cards or actively participate in the gameplay. He only has to bet on the outcome of the round. But in some versions, the client can make decisions during the drawings.

Carefully read the rules of the baccarat game from different manufacturers to understand the nuances.

From the way you and the dealer should interact, to when and how your chips are placed and the many variants to the rules of blackjack, there’s plenty to take in. But as with all undertakings, personal or professional, the old-age adage you reap what you sow rings true. Take your time as you read through this page and learn about general and variant-specific rules. And if at any point you feel a little frustrated, remember that these game rules are the key to unlocking your potential as a successful player.

Unlock success with an understanding of the rules of blackjack

Triumphant tales of current members of the blackjack hall of fame will undoubtedly impress you. There’s don johnson who beat the atlantic city casinos for over $15 million and the author of beat the dealer edward O. Thorp, to name a few.

While these names may have eventually been 86’d from their casino of choice, they all have one thing in common. They mastered the rules like the back of their hand and manipulated them to their advantage.

You too can follow in their footsteps by learning the betting rules of blackjack to suit your bankroll and gambling style, by getting to grips with our guide. It begins by defining the term, before moving onto the common, changeable and unwritten rules of the game. Think of this as blackjack explained easy. So, settle in, this one’s a bit theory-heavy.

So, what are the rules of online blackjack?

An understanding of the rules of blackjack are paramount before you head to a table. They can be categorised in two: the basics and exceptions to these. Take your time going through each one – they’re the essence of becoming an expert player.

    Basic rules

We regard there to be three rules of thumb – card rules, betting rules and dealer rules. Let’s go through them one-by-one.

    Blackjack card rules

You may remember some of these from the how to play page, however here’s a refresher.

    Number of decks
this casino game is played with one to eight decks of 52-cards in most cases whereas live dealer blackjack is typically played with eight decks.

    Hand values
to recap, the hand values are:

    • 16 face cards (jacks, queens and kings) worth 10 points.

    • 32 cards that are worth their respective numerical value, that is, from 2 to 10.

    • 4 aces that are either valued at 1 or 11 as is more favourable to the hand, according to blackjack ace rules.

    The order of dealing cards
the dealer deals cards from the dealing shoe on their left to the player closest to this first, then onto the next player until he/she deals one to themselves and does the same again to deal the second card. This order is strictly followed so much so that if the dealer strays, the round is considered invalid and stakes are returned to players.

    Shuffling
shuffling blackjack cards is essentially mixing up the order of the cards to ensure that the chances of any hand appearing for a player is fair. It’s the entire process of riffling, stripping, boxing and cutting the deck without revealing or damaging any of the cards. Plenty of time is spent to make sure it is done properly, for example, evolution gaming spend around 2 minutes on their shuffle.

The shuffle can be done manually or by using a continuous shuffling machine (CSM). In the case of the former, cards are either shuffled in specially-designed control rooms equipped with security cameras or live in-studio for all players to see, behind the dealer responsible for leading the current game round, depending on the provider in question.

Evolution shuffle the cards on-camera to the right of the dealer leading the current round. In the case of a CSM, several decks of cards are placed in the machine and after a couple of hands (often after each hand), the cards are reshuffled automatically.

    Reshuffling
gameplay continues until the cut card is dealt (check out the blackjack glossary for a full definition) and the dealing shoe is then changed. Oftentimes, two dealing shoes are found at the table such that the dealer can simply swap shoes and continue the round with minimal disruptions to the game.

    Casino gambling basics

    Casino rules and customs

If your vision of casino players is james bond, in a tux, at monte carlo, forget it. American casinos do not enforce that kind of formality. Casual clothing and sportswear are most common, but you'll see everything from evening wear to T-shirts and jeans in the same casino. If some of your other preconceived notions about casinos are a little out of whack, here's a guide to what you should expect on the gambling floor.

A lot of casinos give free beverages to players. In many states it's illegal to give free alcoholic beverages to casino customers, so casinos in these jurisdictions charge for alcohol but usually give free soft drinks and coffee to playing customers. In either case, it's appropriate to tip the cocktail server -- a couple of quarters or a dollar will do.

Be sure you know the bet requirements at a particular slot machine or table game before you sit down. On slots or video poker, the denomination is either painted on the machine's glass or displayed on a video screen.

At table games, each table has a rectangular sign detailing minimum and maximum bets. Usually the signs are color-coded to correspond to the color of casino chips -- a white sign usually denotes a table with a $1 minimum bet, a red sign denotes a $5 minimum, a green sign denotes a $25 minimum, and a black sign denotes a $100 minimum, just as at most casinos $1 chips are white, $5 chips are red, $25 chips are green, and $100 chips are black. Do not take this system for granted, however; a few casinos have signs all of the same color or use different color coding. Read the sign before sitting down to play.

Table players change currency for casino chips at the tables. Place currency on the table layout and ask the dealer, "change, please." the dealer will give you the corresponding amount in chips and will push your money into a locked drop box.

When it comes time to leave, remember that the dealer does not have access to cash at the tables. To change your chips for cash, you must go to the casino cashier's booth. If you have a lot of smaller-denomination chips and wish to change for larger-denomination chips to make it easier to carry them to the cashier's booth, ask the dealer to "color up." he or she then will give you one green $25 chip for five red $5 chips, or a black $100 chip for twenty $5 chips, for example.

Slot players usually cash out by pushing a button to print out a bar-coded ticket. That ticket can be used in another machine or redeemed for cash at the cashier's cage or cash kiosk. A few machines still pay out in coins or tokens, but they are being rapidly replaced.

You'll sometimes find payoffs expressed as "chances-TO-1"; other times, especially in video poker, they are expressed as "chances-FOR-1." in roulette, for example, the payoff for hitting a single number is 35-to-1. The player's one-unit bet stays on the table until the outcome is determined. If the player wins, he or she wins 35 units and gets to keep the original bet for a total of 36 units. But in video poker, the payoff for three of a kind is usually 3-for-1. The player has already put one unit down the slot and that is gone; the player who hits three of a kind gets a total of three units back for the one that has been wagered.

Do not go into a casino with money you can't afford to lose. Even at games with house percentages of less than 1 percent, there will be times the player just can't win. The worst thing a player can do is to start chasing losses, gambling money needed elsewhere in an attempt to win back money that's already gone.

Remember, the house percentage is in effect on every spin of the roulette wheel or slot reels. No law of averages says you have to start winning just because you've been on a long losing streak. If you've been betting on "even" in roulette and odd numbers have shown up ten times in a row, the next spin is no more or less likely to be an even number than any other spin. Each trial is independent, and the house advantage still is 5.26 percent. Treat your gambling bankroll as an entertainment expense and budget accordingly. Set limits on losses and stick to them.

Once you've decided how much to budget for the day, play at a level appropriate to your bankroll. If you have $20 for a couple of hours in the casino, you can't afford to play $1 slots or $5 blackjack. You'll need to stick to quarter slots, and at that you risk being finished for the day in about 15 minutes.

In illinois, where such statistics are released by the illinois gaming board, the average casino customer loses about $100 in a typical day at the barge or boat. But you need to bring more than that with you. You need enough of a cushion to ride out the inevitable losing streaks that happen in any game.

Here are some recommended minimum bankrolls for a two-hour casino stay:

25-cent slots and video poker: $100

    $5-per-spin roulette (even-money bets): $100

$5 best-method craps (pass and two-come bets with double odds): $500

$10-a-hand mini-baccarat (table minimums are usually higher than at other casino games): $200

This is not to suggest that you should expect to lose $200 if you play mini-baccarat for a couple of hours. Your average outcome will be in the range of $10 to $20 in losses, and sometimes you'll walk away a winner.

The final bit of etiquette you should learn before you hit the casino is knowing when to expect a comp from the casino and when you should tip your dealer. Both of these sensitive subjects will be covered in the next section.

    Playing roulette: the basics

Before we get into the rules of roulette, it’s important that you grasp foundations of the game. We will therefore start with the different variations of roulette before explaining so that you later understand what these variations entail.

Variations of roulette and their differences

The game roulette has been played for many years in casinos, offline as well as online. You can find two different kinds of roulette variations at casinos, of which the rules differ slightly for each type.

    • Variation 1: american roulette

Casino Game Rules, casino games rules.

    • Variation 2: european roulette (also called french roulette)

Casino Game Rules, casino games rules.

    Win chances

The main difference between the two types of tables are the zero’s. The american variation has two zero’s (0 and 00), while the european variation sticks to one (0). This means that your changes are higher in winning at european roulette than at american roulette. The chances of winning on a specific number bet in european roulette is 2.7 % (1 out of 37), while the american roulette has 2.65% (1 out of 38). In other words, with each 100 euro bet and lost, players at the european roulette tables may lose 2.70 euros, or 5.26 euros at the american roulette table.

    The roulette table

Roulette is considered a table game, since you stand at the roulette table, similar to card games. This is a large table with numbered spread with different sections for different bets. The roulette wheel is most often found at the head of the table, with separate pockets for all the different numbers on the table. The wheel consists of an inverted cylinder with either 37 of 38 numbers, depending on the type of roulette (american has the 0 and the 00). With the exception of the numbers one through five, no two numbers under 18 and over 18 may lie next to each other on the cylinder. The colours red and black variate throughout the wheel (except for the zeros).

How to play roulette: roulette game rules

Roulette is a rather approachable game that can be played by beginners in the casino, though you are expected to understand the roulette game rules. Below we will discuss the basic principles of the roulette game and the rules with which to play, as well as a short introduction to the different ways to bet.

    The main goal of roulette

By grasping the main purpose of roulette, you will understand what you are playing for better. This will help you to make the right decisions in regards to bet placement, when to stop, or when to go higher. The basic principle is that you place your bets before the ball is placed in the wheel. You may place bets on the numbers 1 to 37 (or 36), the zero, multiple numbers (for example: four numbers by placing the chip in the corner of four numbers, called a corner), dozens or columns. You can also bet on red or black, or even or uneven or a high or low number ( 1 – 18 or 19 – 36 or 37).

Casino Game Rules, casino games rules.

Have you made the right bet? Then you will receive the right amount of chips from the croupier depending on what the pay-outs are and how much you bet. Did you bet wrong and lose? Then the croupier will take in all the losing chips and you will be able to place new bets until the croupier says that all bets are closed again.

    Roulette game rules and progression

    • Players can place money bets, in the form of chips, on certain numbers or combinations on the layout (table).

    • The game is guided by a croupier, also called a dealer, who makes sure that the game progresses fairly.

    • Players cannot place bets after the croupier has closed all bets.

    • The croupier starts the round by spinning the ball in the opposite direct of the turning wheel.

    • The wheel and ball will turn slower and slower until the ball falls and remains in a numbered pocket on the wheel.

Bets and betting rules in roulette

To play at a table in the offline as well as online casino, you will need chips. Cash money is not accepted at casino. An important rule is that the bets must be placed before the croupier says all bets are closed and spins the wheel. If you are too late with placing your bets, then you can join in with the next round. In this case, you will simply have to wait until the ball has fallen, the wins are paid out, and the last round’s chips removed.

Casino Game Rules, casino games rules.

The table below provides an overview of several roulette betting rules and the corresponding pay-outs.

Casino Game Rules, casino games rules.

    Pay-outs roulette: an explanation

While playing roulette, you will discover that you have multiple betting possibilities. You can bet on one single number, or on a combination of numbers. When the ball falls on one of those numbers, than the player wins, but you will earn more on a single number than a combination. The player wins not only the pay-out of that bet, but also the bet amount back, so the bet amount plus the won amount. If the ball does not fall on one of the bet numbers or combinations, then the player loses the bet amount to the croupier.

    UK casino gaming regulations guide

Topics: admission - membership - gaming - gaming currency - food & drinks - dress code - tipping - gambling reforms - complaints

Note: the law requesting new casino members to wait 24 hours before being permitted to game was abolished on 1st october 2005. You can now enter a casino in the united kingdom and play straight away.

    Admission, minimum age limit, identification

In most casinos in the united kingdom you are now admitted instantly and you can play casino games straight away. However, some private casino clubs may still require that you apply for membership first, as before.

With the new UK gambling laws, starting 15 december 2007 the membership application requirement on casinos has been lifted. You are simply required to register your name, your date of birth and a digital photo of yourself is also taken on the spot.

The ID/passport is no longer necessary, but it is recommended as there may be instances where they may need to ask for identification, such as if you look younger than 18 years of age, which is the UK legal minimum gambling age. Also, if you win a large sum of money (say Ј1,000), they may ask you for identification at the cash desk before paying you.

The membership system - the way it was before
(some high-end private casino clubs in the UK may still apply this system.)

In the united kingdom the casinos are clubs. To play at a UK casino you needed to become a member first and you are required to fill in a membership application form.

They will want to see your passport or photo driving licence or bankers card supported by a household bill issued within the last three months. Although acceptance is normally automatic, they may at their discretion decline your application.

Once you become a member, you are normally given a membership card straight away or sent to you by post, and you do not require to produce your ID/passport on your subsequent visits.

You may join instantly upon your first visit or complete a membership application form, by post, by fax or online.

Your membership should be approved within 24 hours of receiving your application and you can then visit the casino and enter the gaming area and play. Membership approval is normally at the discretion of a membertheship committee.

    Gaming, games, opening times

British casinos are usually open from 2pm to 6am every day of the year except christmas day. Some in busy areas are open for longer time, and some for shorter time and not every day.

United kingdom casino gaming is regulated by the gaming board for great britain, under laws which ensure fair odds and properly supervised playing conditions.

All casinos provide a variety of games and facilities such as food and drinks and toilets. The games may include roulette, blackjack, craps/dice, punto banco (baccarat) and caribbean/casino stud poker (also with progressive jackpot). Most of them also have slots/video machines also called fruit machines. Touch-bet roulette machines and three-card poker are now widely available and are gaining in popularity among players.

Most casinos in the UK, if not all, have single zero wheel roulette and operate the 'la partage' rule. This rule basically means that the player loses only half his/her bet on the outside 'even money' bets if the outcome is zero.

Casino games, such as roulette, blackjack, baccarat etc, are banker's games and, as such, are games of 'unequal chance'. The nature and structure of these games therefore gives an advantage to the house (the casino). This is called the 'house edge', which is a universally accepted feature of international casino gaming. On average, the house edge applied in UK casinos is one of the lowest compared to many other countries.

In the UK most casinos play american style roulette but using a single zero. Very few high end casinos also play french style roulette, where the chips are handled with a stick by the dealer/stickman.

Stakes vary from casino to casino, so it is best to check their minimum bets before applying for membership. For example: roulette minimums can vary from 50p (usually in casinos outside london) to Ј5 or even Ј25 for a single number bet.

Unlike the USA, in the UK a Ј1 table minimum at roulette means you can bet just Ј1 per spin on numbers. In las vegas you need to place a minimum of 5 bets of $1 chips on numbers per spin if you play on a $1 table minimum. However, the outside bets minimum in the UK is usually five times the table minimum.

Blackjack table minimum can vary from Ј3 to Ј25. Some clubs have private rooms where high rollers (high stake gamblers) can play for very high stakes in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Some casinos have card rooms where you can play poker, kalooki and mah jong and they also hold tournaments with big money prizes for the winners. The grosvenor victoria casino in london is very well known locally and internationally for holding such tournaments.

    Gaming currency, cashing, cash facilities

The gaming currency in most, if not all, UK casinos is in GB pounds.

British casinos normally accept all major currencies. You change at the cash desk and the rates are usually good. You can then 'buy-back' the currency at the same exchange rate if you ask the casino to keep it for you.

There are other forms of cashing that are usually available in british casinos, with limits to the maximum amount cashed (usually Ј1000), per day, without prior arrangement:

    • Debit/credit cards (can be used up to a certain amount per account, per gaming day)

    • Guaranteed cheques (you can cash, up to a certain amount, one personal cheque per account you hold if supported by a cheque guarantee card)

    • ATM machines (various cards are accepted)

    • Travellers cheques (usually at a competitive rate and with no commission)

    • Bank drafts and building society cheques (subject to verification)

If you prefer, you may leave funds on deposit for your safety and security. You will be given a receipt, which can then be exchanged at the casino where you play.

Also, you can arrange for funds to be transferred directly into the casino's bank account prior to your visit. This is for your convenience and provides instant access to funds when you visit the casino.

London has the highest number of casinos and most of them are near the west end (central london). Most casinos have a bar, a snack bar, a TV lounge and excellent restaurants with international cuisine.

The colony club casino in mayfair london features the world famous restaurant where you can sample the finest food prepared by twenty chefs serving six different cuisines from china, europe, thailand, india, lebanon and japan.

It is advisable to book a table at the restaurant by phone before going to a casino, particularly on saturday night.

You can drink alcoholic beverages at the bar or restaurant and now also at the gaming tables or anywhere in the gaming hall. Alcoholic drinks were restricted to the bar and restaurant only, but as of 1st august, 2002, drinks are allowed in the gaming area too.

Most UK casinos, if not all, serve complimentary soft drinks and exquisite sandwiches (also toasted) whilst gaming. Some casinos will also serve you snack dishes whilst gaming.

Dress code varies. For most casinos it is usually smart casual. High-end casinos may require that you wear a jacket and possibly a tie. At the time of your application for membership you will be advised as to what is required in dress code and also the number of guests you are allowed to bring in with you.

Below are items commonly allowed and not allowed for both, men and women:

    UK gambling deregulation and reforms

Reforms have been introduced in 2002 that permit consumption of alcohol on casino gaming floors, show live entertainment, and introduce selected additional new games. It is believed that the deregulation and reforms have the potential to make the UK one of the most exciting gaming markets in the world.

The new reforms also allow casinos to offer other products such as sports betting, keno, bingo and a much improved quantity and quality of high-prize slot machines with larger sums of possible jackpot wins.

    Complaints - gaming disputes procedure
