Casino royale was a planned tie-in video game to the james bond film of the same name. The game was planned to be on the playstation 3 (where it would serve as a launch title in europe), xbox 360, and nintendo wii. The game also would have been developed by EA and was set to release on november 17th, 2006, the same day as the film would release in theaters in the united kingdom.

Gameplay
Casino royale would have players play as james bond from a third person position as they would navigate the events of the movie. Voice overs would have been provided by the actors who played their respective roles in the film. The concept art that has surfaced shows the film's final act in which james bond attempted to save his love vesper lynd from drowning while a building collapses in venice.

He's no idea about dinner jackets and doesn't have double-o status. Like bruce wayne in batman begins, james bond is given a realism re-boot in the guise of daniel craig.
One bond tradition unchanged is the globetrotting plot and, once again, it's more deceptive than at first sight. There’s no ‘madagascar’ and there’s no ‘miami’. And no ‘montenegro’. Most of the film was shot in the czech republic (with sets at prague 's famous barrandov studios) and the inevitable bahamas.

The sunnier locations were found in another favourite bond hangout, nassau in the bahamas. The construction site was an abandoned hotel site at coral harbour on new providence island that was under construction 30 years ago. It was used to film hotel rooms for the 1965 movie thunderball and it was also used for 1977's the spy who loved me as a camera platform, with models and workshops. It is now part of a military base. The "vesper" that james bond orders at casino royale is taken from the novel of the same name. It consists of three measures (9 ounces) of gin (gordon's was bond's choice), one measure (3 ounces) of vodka and half a measure (1.5 ounces) of kina lillet. The ingredients are shaken over ice until cold, served in a cocktail glass with a slice of lemon peel for garnish. Kina lillet has not been made since 1985 and the modern substitute would be lillet blanc, made by the same company, lillet, based in podensac, france.
The third film incarnation of 'casino royale' but the one closest to ian fleming's original story. The first was a CLIMAX! Feature (made for TV movie) made in 1954, the second was a spoof film which starred peter sellers made in (1967). Casino royale is also the name of the casino in "never say never again".

It weighed 90 tons and used a mixture of hydraulics and electronics. A computer controlled the hydraulic valves as well as a third scale model of the building which was used for shooting exteriors. Water was pushed upwards by banks of compressors controlled by technicians. The set interior of the sinking house in venice measured 45 ft by 40 ft and was 45 ft high.

The skyfleet S570 prototype at miami international airport is meant to be a spoof of the new airbus A380. The S570 was built off an old 747-200, which was originally used by british airways (under the designation "G-BDXJ"), and had flown for both air asia and malaysia airlines before being retired from service. It was refitted with two mock-up engines on each inner pylon and external fuel tanks on the outer pylons, somewhat anachronistically resembling a B-52 stratofortress.
There is a story visible on le chiffre's computer on the same page that has the story of bond's latest mission at the embassy. It states that a french football player called neil pinkawa has stated he is not retiring from the national soccer team. Neil pinkawa is in fact casino royale's lead screen graphics artist, who would have been in charge of creating all of the mock web pages in the film.
James ferguson, a physician in aberdeen, scotland, came up with the idea for the scene in which bond is poisoned and is remotely diagnosed by MI6 experts. He is a bond fan, and has been retained as a medical adviser on future bond films.

The brown leather jacket worn by daniel craig in miami was made by giorgio armani and was rumoured to cost $4,000 US each.

It’s one of the most popular card games in the world and has featured in so many iconic scenes throughout cinema history. And it turns out that james bond’s high stakes texas hold’em game against le chiffre in casino royale is the best, according to a new poll of 2000 british adults (of whom only 27% understand the rules). The 2006 classic saw the tense gamble as 007’s first mission after gaining his licence to kill – one that saw him walk away with $120 million. Casino royale is the movie that makes james bond into a character. Previously he had always been a cipher for a certain brand of masculinity, and that's valuable in its own way, but casino royale maintains that portrait of masculinity while adding depth and complexity to it. Truth be told, the only james bond films that I've seen from start to finish are the ones starring daniel craig in the iconic role. Confession be made, I have no interest at all in checking out the previous entries of this franchise, for whatever bits n pieces I've seen of earlier chapters never intrigued me enough to sit through the entirety of those flicks. And since this film takes the series back to its origin, I don't see any reason why I should give those past instalments a shot, at least for now.

One of the all-time classic movie chases, daniel craig giving a legitimately great performance as a character who’d been a cipher for too long, and waaaaay too much poker.
Decidedly throwing away the history of the broad caricature known as james bond and honing in on his core elements as a character, casino royale is perhaps one of the more divisive entries among hardcore bond fans but for reasons that totally confound me as it is undoubtedly the best bond film.
Truthfully, this is the bond film; practically stripping the character down to the barest essentials and subtly rebuilding and characterizing him through action – that black & white opening scene, resembling more of a foreign art film than a blockbuster, establishing bond as a literal blunt instrument before jumping into that incredibly well-shot/edited parkour setpiece that emphasizes both his genius and egomaniacal qualities – casino royale is just a…
Harder, colder and blonder martins campbell's bond reboot takes the franchise along a far more modern, believable and interesting path than the brosnan years. While I seem to remember thinking the same thing about goldeneye, famke janssen's thighs may have clouded my youthful judgment.
There is however, no doubt that casino royal is a beast of an action movie. Fast paced and totally gripping with a revelatory performance from the usually dull daniel craig who gives england a 007 it can be proud of. Eva green is perfect and mikkelsen gives us one of the more memorable villains of the series. I think this is slightly better than skyfall and that's about as high a compliment as I can give.
